This was the first strategic simulation RPG that was developed for PC in Korea. It launched four main series and two extra stories from December 1995 to 2000. The series follows the history of Antaria, a fictional universe where the story is taking place. It's loved by many people domestically as well as internationally based on wide world view, attractive characters and uniqueness. It feature illustrations by manga artist Kim Jin (Pada-ro Kan Sae, Baram-ui Nara) and the promise of a stronger narrative than any other Korean game at the time. It was an immense success for a Korean game at the time (though reports about actual sales figures vary from 17,000 to 50,000 copies), but afterwards many resented the unpolished mechanics and a cliffhanger ending. |
