This reimagines all the charm, humor, puzzles, exploration and sense of wonder that made the franchise so magical when it first arrived thirty years ago. Old and grey, King Graham – the hero made legend in the original King's Quest games – shares the extraordinary stories of his youth with his curious granddaughter, Gwendolyn, taking players back to the feats that shaped a kingdom. And so begins an episodic saga that honors the core characters and familiar storylines of King Graham's early adventures, setting up new chapters tied to – but independent of – the series that helped define Sierra and the adventure genre. Through these tales, a whole new generation can finally experience one of gaming's most beloved journeys. While it will be an adventure game like the previous games in the series, the interface will not be point-and-click, and the game is to be divided into five episodes. Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember (July 28). Each episode will take place between the games in the original series. It will center around Graham of Daventry, however it will also center around his grand daughter Gwendolyn and her choices in the present sequences. It was later made free to play in May/2016. Chapter 2: Rubble Without a Cause (Dec 15) Goblins have kidnapped everyone in Daventry, and a newly crowned King Graham must learn to be the leader the kingdom needs. This takes place five years after the first and will introduce new characters as well as furthering the stories of fan favorites like Olfie, Whisper, Acorn, Amaya the blacksmith, Wente the Baker, and the Hobblepots. It shows how Graham met his future wife Valanice, and what happened after he met her, as his young love with Valanice developed after his marriage and return from Kolyma. Chapter 3: Once Upon a Climb (Apr 26/2016) Focusing on romance, King Graham's wife and Gwendolyn's grandmother, Queen Valanice, will make an appearance. Chapter 4: Snow Place Like Home (Sep 23) King Graham recounts the time he had to rescue Prince Alexander from Queen Icebella's Frozen Castle. Chapter 5: The Good Knight (Oct 25) King Graham tells of his final battle with the Goblin Sorcerer Manannan and his final adventure. | ||
