Microsoft Solitaire Microsoft Corporation 1990

Often described as the most popular computer game ever. It was developed by an intern at Microsoft in 1988. It has 3 modes of play and a small selection of card images. It comes with every version of windows since 3.0. The goal of the game is to sort the deck in to 4 sequential stacks of suits. (clubs, diamonds, spades and hearts.) You flip 1 to 3 cards from a deck and place them in alternating color sequential order. The table has a selection of 10 stacks of cards that you can flip from as well. The 10 stacks serve as your holders for alternating color sequential rows. The 4 suits are started with an ace and are added to as the game progresses. This form of solitaire is commonly called Klondike, though it is also known as Canfield, Chinaman, Demon, Fascination, or Small Triangle. Klondike is one of the harder solitaire games to win at but the option to draw the cards singly rather than three at a time improves your odds greatly.
