One of a series of fairy tale Adventures produced by New Media Generation which also included: Ali-Baba and the Forty Thieves, Beauty and the Beast, Brave Tin Soldier, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Ruslan and Liudmila, Sindbad the Sailor, The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen, The Tinderbox, Thumbelina. Interactive cartoon "Tom Thumb" is a fascinating story, inspired by the beloved fairy tale by Charles Perrault. Cartoon presented in four languages: Russian, English, French and German. The story takes us to a time when there was a terrible famine, so that the poor woodcutter family was in a very difficult situation. And then decided woodcutter with his wife take their favorite kids, five sons, in dense forest, so they found their happiness there. It must be said that the four sons were ordinary boys, and one had been grown so small that they gave him the name of Tom Thumb. In the morning the woodcutter and his children were alone in a dark and dense forest. Incredible Adventures and the story of the miraculous rescue from the terrible ogre by Tom Thumb and his brothers. A series of beautifully told stories designed for young children from 2 y.o. to around 7 y.o. In it's simplest form the children can just watch and look at the lovely (and funny) animations whilst being told one of these famous stories. If the child is older there are many options - such as playing inside each story page, travelling to different parts of the book at will, turning on and off Tiffy - the rather cute fluffy green caterpillar who hosts the stories. The series is similar to the legendary Living Books series, with animations not quite as good, but slicker interactivity for the children. Excellent software for the young, requires NO hard drive space as they can be run straight from the CD and perfect educational entertainment for young children. |
