Memoir En Code Kalopsia Games 2015

This is an autobiographical game that is structured like a music album. It is divided in nine parts, each with a different look and gameplay. All the parts are about a specific life event that influenced the life of the author. The first chapter, for example, is a simple point-and-click sequence. The second one is a dialogue-based sequence about a long-distance relationship. Another part is a top-down action game about how the author felt while living in Italy. All the sequences are diverse in terms of gameplay, but are all part of a single piece of work meant to be experienced similarly to a music album. The game takes about 30 minutes to complete. It comes with two extra elements: a program called Memoir De Code, which is used to decrypt a message hidden in the game. The game is filled with small secrets that can ultimately be uncovered through this tool; a digital booklet containing pictures and texts that help understanding the autobiographical meaning of the different parts of the game. In 2016, a revised version of the game titled Memoir En Code: Reissue was released with: 9 interactive tracks with unique gameplay and mood; all new graphics, sounds and user interface; 9 keys to obtain; it also has a new first track to give closure to the game and introduces commentary by the developer.
