This is an episodic adventure game based on a comic book series from Marvel, and tells the story of the titular Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike the classic superhero team ups, this group is made of outcasts and outlaws, and their humor-filled adventures take place in far reaches of the universe. Like in other games from Telltale, the gameplay is based on exploration, dialogues, and, most importantly, on making decisions that influence the course of the plot. Our choices influence not only the current episode we are playing, but also the following ones. It delivers a brand new story of the universe's unlikeliest heroes, the rag-tag band of outlaws who go by the names Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot. Episode One: Tangled Up in Blue (Apr 18). In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of the Guardians has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands. Episode Two: Under Pressure (Jun 6) The Guardians just can't seem to outrun the past (or their tab), but if they figure out how to control the untold power of their mysterious new relic, they might not have to. With help from dubious old friends and unwilling new allies, Star-Lord and company scour the galaxy for answers. But how long can they elude the genocidal maniac hunting them? And will simmering tensions finally tear the team apart? Episode Three: More than a Feeling (Aug 22) After tracing the origin of the Eternity Forge to a mysterious temple, the Guardians encounter an eccentric being who might hold the key to unlocking the relic’s true power. But with Gamora and Nebula busy wrestling with the past and Hala still bent on reclaiming the Forge by any means necessary, it falls to Star-Lord to make a crucial decision that could change the fate of the galaxy - and the Guardians - forever. Episode Four: Who Needs You (Oct 10) With the fate of the Eternity Forge decided, the Guardians are left more bitterly divided than ever. But this growing tension is temporarily sidelined by a more pressing problem: escaping a dark and treacherous cavern before they all get eaten alive. As the cave's hidden threats creep closer, Star-Lord must hold his crew together if he hopes to keep everyone safe. Safety, however, may ultimately come at a terrible cost. Episode Five: Don't Stop Believin' (Nov 7) In the aftermath of an unbearable sacrifice, the Guardians finally fracture. With her opposition in shambles, Hala renews her campaign of death and devastation, carving a path of indiscriminate destruction en route to Knowhere. If he hopes to avoid catastrophe (and save his own skin), Star-Lord must search his feelings, reunite his team, and mount one final mission to save the galaxy...again. | ||
