Kiss Immortals Brilliant Digital Entertainment, Inc. / SlingShot Entertainment, Inc. 2000

This was the first-ever, made-for-the-Web 3-D animated series that featured the actual voices, music, and likenesses of music legends KISS. KISS Immortals is a rock-and-roll adventure series, initially airing in 27 weekly Webisode installments, on a number of partner Web sites. Further webisodes beyond the first 9 did not have the voices of KISS members. The series finds KISS, in the midst of a concert tour, mysteriously abducted into the alien world of Umbra. Umbra is an oppressive world without music or heroes, but KISS is determined to save this universe - and ours - armed with their music, a rebellious attitude and the viewers' help. This combines music, 3-D animation, and interactivity. This interactive movie features computer-generated versions of rock & roll legends Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss in a strange sci-fi adventure. Set on the evening of the group's final concert appearance, the bandmembers find themselves mysteriously transported from the Pittsburgh arena to a surreal alternate world where music has been outlawed. Players influence the outcome of the story by choosing different plot paths at key points in the film. Help the members of Kiss to bring the power of rock to this bizarre land and win their way back home. In 2001, a DVD release contained only the first 9 episodes. In 2008, a PAL DVD contained all 27 episodes.
