URU continues the saga of the D'ni at a different point in their time line. In previous Myst games, you met the sons of Atrus whose actions contributed to the demise of the D'ni Ages. In URU, you "meet" Atrus' daughter, Yeesha, who sends you on your quest through "the linking books". As in the earlier games, the way to open up new locations is by exploration, finding clues and solving puzzles. The new story is deep and rich and unfolds gradually as the logic and gadgetry puzzles are solved. New features in URU that are very different from others in the series thus far. View your character as an "avatar" on screen in the New 3rd Person Perspective or choose the familiar 1st person view if you prefer. Move your character with both the mouse and keyboard keys. Not just "point and click", you can run, strafe, climb and jump. No inventory objects are needed or used. The game saves your progress when you exit so saving games is not necessary.
