The game is based around the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 19th century. Players start out in Seattle, where they must partner up, secure travel, and purchase needed provisions. It is July, 1897 and GOLD has been discovered in the Yukon area of northwest Canada. There are lost of people to talk to for advice, but be careful, not everyone knows what they are talking about. Kids 10-16 learn history firsthand as they meet actual historical figures aw well as fictional characters that represent the types of people you might encounter. A journal lets travelers record details of their adventure. The program automatically logs some entries. Players strive to reach Dawson City, headquarters of the gold rush. From there they can set out to dig GOLD! |
