This is the third real-time strategy game set in the Dune universe, following its predecessors, Dune II and Dune 2000. It is a sequel to Dune 2000, carrying on from where it left off, with several of the characters and actors returning. It features cut scenes filmed with live actors. Choose one of three houses to control throughout: the noble Atreides, the reclusive House Ordos, or the evil House Harkonnen. Each house has its own strengths and liabilities, and each can form alliances with different sub-houses. All of the battles take place on five unique planets, and each is rendered in full 3D. As per usual with the series, the object of the game is to mine as much Melange "spice" as possible, but doing so will require excellent resource management and sharp combat skills. |
