Rayman Activity Center Ubisoft Entertainment 1999

Designed to appeal to kids ages four to six, the Rayman Activity Center stars the popular Ubi Soft character and many of his friends in a variety of educational games. Developed by pre-school teachers, each game has three levels of difficulty and ends with a "surprise" (typically a dance or other cute animation by a character). Each of the 14 games has its own premise such as learning basic French with Joe the Cricket or practicing the concept of three-dimensional space by helping Rayman through a maze of giant erasers. Other concepts stressed in the games include letter recognition, puzzle solving, memory, sound identification, mouse use, keyboard use, spatial awareness, and logical ordering. Additionally, Rayman Activity Center has a Coloring Book section that can be printed out and a radio to hear a song. The child's successes are logged in the Results screen, and any animations earned can be viewed again with a visit to the Rewards Box.
