This surreal adventure game was the first in a long-running and popular Russian series. The story goes like this: Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away (the intro has a starwars scroller with the Star Wars music in it), an alien colony ship suffered an accident. As a result, the Earth got a new satellite in orbit, which in time came to be known as "The Moon". Some years later, in the beginning of the civil war in Russia, the shot from the Aurora (the massive cannon which was used to signal the beginning of the war in 1917) somehow reached this moon (perhaps a result of the gunnersmates' having drank too much Vodka) and triggered the hybernation systems. The aliens wake up. The aliens are pissed. So the aliens seek a place to conquer. And the aliens find one: the remote town of Gadukino, which just happened to be on the border between the terrotories of the Red and White armies. The situation was stagnant, and the only thing that could change that was an alien invasion. Guess what? Eventually, it's up to Petka and Vasily (Vich) Ivanovich, two losers just looking for more Vodka and trying to lay Anka, to save the galaxy. In Feb/2016 and English enhanced version titled Red Comrades Save the Galaxy: Reloaded was released that saves the original graphics and voicing but the game code has been completely rewritten for Unity engine and it has widescreen support now. Any animation issues and old bugs have been fixed. Steam achievements and trading cards are also available. So from now on you can play using any modern PC working on one of modern operating systems. |
