Call of Duty: Black Ops III Treyarch / Activision 2015

This is another installment in the popular shooter series. Once again set in the distant future, the game is a continuation of the story presented in Black Ops II, yet this time we are dealing with an even grimmer vision of reality. The story takes the player to the year 2065, that is 40 years after the drone attack organized by Raul Menendez in the previous part of the cycle. To prevent any similar situations from ever happening, the world decided to create a special defense system. Unfortunately, no one predicted other dangers that led humanity to the brink of chaos. Climate changes, shrinking resources and ideological conflict concerning genetic modifications and implants completely divided the society and became a reason for increasingly bloodier wars. The situation slowly begins to spiral out of control; we also need to keep in mind the increasing consciousness of machines, which complicates everything, and the fact that some previously undisclosed military projects came to light. However, technologies available to the army are nothing compared to the so-called NDI, which is a gigantic mental network to which all the members of the Black Ops special forces are connected. It allows all the commandos to perform the most difficult tasks and provides them with a virtually superhuman coordination. At the beginning of the game, one of the teams is sent on a mission and suddenly breaks away from it for unknown reasons. A moment later comes the biggest ever leak of secret government data. Nobody knows what really happened – the player's task is to find the missing brothers and get to the heart of the matter. The campaign, in which we learn the rest of the story, is available in single player as well as in co-op mode for up to four players. An interesting option was also provided in the form of playing together on one screen. Unlike the previous parts of the series, it has a more open map structure during the story campaign, and the missions begin from the level of a special lobby. In the so-called bunker players can prepare for the task, select equipment, spend points on skills or even read previously acquired notes. Considerable changes have also been implemented in the multiplayer mode. Players were given the opportunity to become one of nine specialists, each with their own unique weapons and an additional special skill. Equally important is the added option of running up walls and shooting underwater, thanks to which the maps, despite their small size, gain additional depth. The gameplay is very dynamic, and a few extra moves that you can achieve thanks to an engine mounted on the soldier’s back deepen the impression of chaotic and above-average pace. The same applies to the cooperative zombie mode that returned to the series. In terms of graphics, it looks very good, but at the same time it doesn’t differ too much in comparison to the previous installments in the series. Character animations are fluid, cutscenes have a film-like flair, and there is no shortage of spectacular scenes both during the campaign and multiplayer mode. In Feb/2016, a limited Multiplayer Starter Pack was offered for a reduced price. It grants access to the game's ranked Multiplayer component, with a level cap of 55. It does not include: Zombies game mode; Campaign game mode; Ability to play in Multiplayer custom games; Ability to Prestige; Access to mod tools or modded content; Access to unranked server browser; Ability to Fresh Start your profile; The ability to access Dead Ops Arcade II and Nightmares mode.
