Sergeant Slotte: Galaxy Janitor CSW Group / Mad Data 1995

This game has received some notoriety on the web due to its absurdity. We have to play as the janitor Slotte, whose mission - to clean up the galaxy of the accumulated garbage. But if your understanding of a janitor is a man wielding a broom or mop, you are wrong. Our hero has at his disposal a space ship, armed to eliminate waste and even with the ability to improve. Gameplay is the usual side-scroller which is divisible by two-minute stages, where there are no enemies, but overall flying scum, as an obstacle to the ship (!). Rubbish, oddly enough, is divided into two types - that required by the government for research and other that must be destroyed. The first includes shipwrecks and satellite, diskettes and coins for personal use. In order for all of these items to earn points, you need to face them (!) which, of course, inflicts damage, but your health regenerates fairly quickly. Help in the search for this type of waste comes in the form of a special radar. All that in other games helps the character, here kills. Hearts, clocks, oxygen bottles, swords, and even bottles of "BONUS" inscription - all deadly. Sometimes a little monotonous gameplay introduced variety. At some stages to help our brave cleaner arrives a partner, computer controlled. His contribution to the number of points you make is small (the more easily killed as the obstacles, and the player), because in most cases it is useless. Also at the end of the level Slott can meet with a rogue ship. With each successive appearance of it will be more difficult to defeat. The graphics (VGA 320x200) are very pleasing to the eye. Even despite the fact that the action takes place in outer space (which explains the almost complete absence of background), other objects look very nice. Throughout the game will play a melody, which is supported by Sound Blaster and even PC Speaker. To give an even more arcade feel, a joystick can be connected. In the settings you can choose two languages - English and German, it will only change the intuitive menu options. The result: a great game, recommended to fans of unusual and slightly eccentric computer games.
