This is a relatively unknown shooter featuring the usual array of power-ups, collectibles and level boss encounters. It depicts a universe mixing dreamlike gothic supernatural and sinister elements. You are an army of vampire huntress using crucifix and sword, and your mission is to rid the world from an invasion of creatures of the night and their acolytes which may interfere in daylight and in the open. In this shoot 'em up, no fuss, all the gameplay is very simple: a single shot upgradeable 3 times, a bomb that serves as a shield (for its destructive effects are almost nonexistent), bonuses to collect that will determine your score at the end of level, the very cute boss throwing large balls. Your character has 5 points, and like all shmups who opt for a similar system, it pushes you to manage your bombs, ie to use them when the surrounding projectiles are too urgent. The scoring system is related to your destruction rate: the destroyed enemies are dropping coins which you can collectin packets (leaving pressed the shooting button, you can suck the pieces that are in your immediate vicinity). The difficulty of game is progressive and well proportioned. The game, without being off-putting, can be extremely tight in places, especially on the final attacks of the boss. The music is simply beautiful, triumphant and gloomy, they accompany the levels perfectly. Hold down the left shift key to shoot and press the Z key to launch a bomb. |
