This is a horizontal-scrolling shoot 'em up. As a lone ship you're defending the world against alien invaders. Your ship is accompanied by a couple of weapon pods, more of which can be had by upgrading firepower. These can be arranged in formations to fire in three different directions. You also have a slowly recharging powerful laser beam weapon that can destroy enemy bullets, as well as a time-slowing button. Destroyed enemies will often drop pickup items with upward-pointing arrows on them, these will upgrade your shot level as well as refill part of your beam meter. Each level ends with a larger boss enemy that you will have to destroy. A single hit will kill you, and if you run out of lives it's game over. You can also choose to practice a single stage if you've reached it before. |
