In 2020, the area of the Zone, previously closed to civilians has become a hiding place for runaway criminals, deserters from the army and other thugs. The zone has become an ideal testing ground where mercenaries working for arms manufacturers are testing new technologies and weapons. One of these mercenaries is you. Officially, your mission is to examine the level of radiation in the building of the stricken reactor No. 5. Unofficially, the objective of the mission is to verify the suitability of a new combat system - a combat helmet.
In contrast to previous games of the series, the locations in the game are mostly closed areas (production halls, underground passages, etc.). The creators of the game have made a number of changes to their Argon engine.
