Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Videlectrix / Telltale Games 2008

This is an episodic series of point-and-click adventure games based on the universe of the Homestar Runner web cartoon. Starring Strong Bad, the self-proclaimed coolest person ever, the series is based on Matt and Mike Chapman's online animated series, which has been running at Homestarrunner.com since 2000. It will be released as a five-episode "season" akin to a season of television. The episodes will come out on a monthly schedule. The episodes play like extended cartoons, during which the player assumes the role of Strong Bad—controlling his actions, hearing his innermost thoughts, and becoming part of his awesome world. It features the cast of characters and locations from the Homestarrunner.com cartoons, and the games are fully voice acted by Matt Chapman and the rest of the original cast. It's a story-driven series with a comic spin that's undeniably Strong Bad. The player uncovers each episode's comedic plot through character interaction, dialogue-based puzzles, and the use (and abuse) of inventory items. In addition, each episode will be crammed with time-wasters to keep players poking around in the world, including Strong Bad emails to check, prank phone calls to place, and mini-games styled after the arcade games on the Homestarrunner.com website. Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner (Aug 11) - kicks off a typical day in the House of Strong, with our hero answering emails, dominating in video games, and setting out to pummel his enemies. Then Strong Bad's scheme to win the tri-annual Race to the End of the Race lands him with an unwanted guest: his dimwitted adversary, Homestar Runner. Now Strong Bad must find a way to get the disgraced athlete back on the Free Country, USA A-list (and out of his house). Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free (Sep 15)- Strong Bad rebels against the King of Town's unfair email tax, only to find himself placed under house arrest as punishment. After freeing himself from his imprisonment, the foul-tempered masked one goes on a mission to unite the local warring factions under the Strong Badian flag. Episode 3: Baddest of the Bands (Oct 27) - Strong Bad, in another attempt to satisfy his ego, has come up with another brilliant plan. This time, he will start his own rock band and attempt to become the most popular music group around. Enlisting the help of The Cheat and Strong Mad, Strong Bad will have to compete against various other artists, such as Coach Z and Bubs. Episode 4: Dangeresque 3 (Nov 17) - Move over, James Bond! Strong Bad's here to show you how it's done in his hand-crafted cinematic masterpiece, Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective. You play Dangeresque, a dirty cop in pursuit of a little action and several big sacks of cash. Can our hero stay alive long enough to defeat his arch-nemesis and save the world? Looks like he's gonna have to jump. Episode 5: 8-Bit Is Enough (Dec 15) - Trogdor must be stopped! The beefy-armed dragon of legend has broken free from his arcade cabinet and is burninating the land. With classic 8-bit games leaking into the real world and Strong Badia a fiery mess, only Strong Bad can take back the night and conquer this scorching menace once and for all. Does anybody know how to kill a dragon?
