Thanks for the welcome :)

One question though: I'm pretty good at finding games, if I would come across something that doesn't have an upload, how should I submit it ? I cannot upload to 4shared for some reason (browser crashes and their upload tool doesn't start uploading).

Here's a list for some hosts. Besides 4shared you usually see Rapidshare or Megaupload used by uploaders. And don't forget to not upload games that don't suit our rules. But thanks in advance for your contribution.
Oh and :welcome: from me too

Thanks for the list, will have a look at it.

I focus mostly on 2005 and earlier, and aquiring common games is no sport :P

Instead of 4shared, you can use one of the many file spreaders available. Here are some that I know of:

Code: Select all
http://www.multiupload.com
http://www.mirrorcreator.com
http://load2.me
http://1filesharing.com
http://www.rapidspread.com
http://www.sharebee.com
http://www.gazup.com
http://www.uploadjockey.com (many popups)
http://www.load2all.com
http://www.uploadmirrors.com

The uploaded files will be spread over different hosts. People can then select their favorite site for downloading. Many file hosting services come with limitations, so you can always choose another site to download the next file from.

And a warm welcome from me too!!

I have the exact same issue with 4shared and found that if I restart my router/modem just before uploading to 4shared, all works fine for the first 0.5 GB or so. Not sure it will work for you too, but it might be worth a try.

Multi-server upload might result in a lot of non-valid links very soon, because downloads get too 'thinned out'. Most servers delete the files if not downloaded for a month.
I think that Megaupload or Rapidshare (with a free account) will be more reliable

It is true that most links will expire quickly, because people prefer to download only from RapidShare or MegaUpload. Most file spreaders support R$ and MU, and as long as those links survive I think it's still OK. If you do not wish to create an account on R$, you can use a file spreader to upload the files to R$ without the 10 times download limitation (this may not count for all spreaders).

I prefer MegaUpload over RapidShare (from a free user perspective). The download speed is way higher and you can download approx. 2 GB in a row with only the 45 sec. waiting time between the files.

I've just checked my upload of CDRWin here on sharebee, which was done more than 1 year ago. The MU link is still alive after 182 days without download.
