TUROK problem

Postby b_lotus » Fri Dec 24, 2004 7:50 am

Hi I downloaded TUROK (2003 3dsl), but I cannot play it. The message is
This application require functionality that is not available on your Direct3D hardware accellerator. This application will now exit
OK

Can anyone help me to solve it?

Looks like your graphics card doesn't support some Direct3D things. You have an older card then, right?

There's some Direct3D patch for it down at 3D gamers... maybe that one will work. So have a try: CLICK for Direct3D patch for 3Dlabs Permedia 2 cards

hmm. i think you are not talking of turok, since this game (and the patch dead-meat pointed to) is from 1998 or so....

so i think you are talking of some other game. plz define.

Perhaps you should install Direct X in the actuall Version? :?

The PC version requires pixel and vertex shader-capable cards. See the system requirements...
Processor: Pentium 1.4Ghz Pentium IV or AMD Athlon MHz Processor
This game works with the following video cards:
nVidia GeForce 3 Ti (range of cards)
nVidia GeForce 4 Ti (range of cards)
nVidia GeForce FX (range of cards)
ATI Radeon 8500 cards and above

Note that the GeForce 4MX does not work, since this card is a small upgrade of the GeForce2.

If your system is not able to handle it and you still want to shoot dinosaurs try Turok 1 or 2, Dino Crisis 1 or 2, Trespasser, Canivores 1,2 or 3, etc.
