Repairing bad cue files (CD audio offset)

Post by Narfous »

Any easy methods? Some games get ripped badly with a few seconds delayed in the CD tracks, its a wonder why they even bother but sometimes it's the only thing I could ever find.

Just be patient. It aint that hard especially if there are like 4-6 tracks. Sure if ~50... 3-5 hrs easy. And there're no other ways then manually correcting the numbers. At least I have no idea which are. :)

This proggy won't get you numbers you seek. In this case it's absolutely useless.

Cool Edit works with numbers of samples. Would that work?

You still don't get it? NOTHING gonna help you. Manual tweaking only, unfortunately. :(

Cool Edit will work with the offsets in the cue... So it is completely useless when the offsets are wrong :(

You will have to do everything manually.

well trying this out i've repaired the cue file of otis's i76gold cd2 rip. The offset was exactly 2.00000 seconds so I just used my super clever subtractive math... and now I have tracks that start right. I found the seconds out by cooledit selecting the last bit of the first song :)

It is known issue with Alcohol 120%. When you made CUE/BIN with it, it always add pregap twice, resulting in 2 secs shift. I found it, when I recoded two dozens of my SEGA CDs. :( So I was forced to correct it manually then.
