What is this?

Postby rastan saga » Tue Apr 03, 2012 7:00 pm

I have a strange problem about Youtube. Since one week, I can't watch Youtube playlist videos with proper order in fullscreen. They were skipping everytime. For example at the end of part 1 video, it was skipping to part 3 not part 2 then part 5-7-9 etc. ( or 2-4-6... ). WTF? Here you can see an example;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-GNWVXe ... ults_video

It was happening only in fullscreen. I reported this bug to Youtube but no reply, it seems everything normal for everyone but only for me huh, is this possible? I want watch every videos in fullscreen and automatically skip with normal order. One week ago, besides it was normal...

I am using Firefox.

It's probably a problem with Flash or Java. Have you tried any other browsers?

Now I checked my browser's options and I saw an error message under Java section. This;

"Java Plugin has been blocked for your protection.
Why was it blocked?
Outdated versions of the Java plugin are vulnerable to an actively exploited security issue. All users are strongly encouraged to update their Java plugin. For more information, please read our blog post or Oracle's Advisory.
Who is affected?
All Firefox users who have installed the Java plugin, JRE versions below 1.6.0_31 or between 1.7.0 and 1.7.0_2.
What does this mean?
Users are strongly encouraged to disable the problematic add-on or plugin, but may choose to continue using it if they accept the risks described.
When Mozilla becomes aware of add-ons, plugins, or other third-party software that seriously compromises Firefox security, stability, or performance and meets certain criteria, the software may be blocked from general use. For more information, please read this support article.
Blocked on April 2, 2012. View block request"

... but I can't update Java, it has given an installer error message too. Time to check my registry or change my browser. Thanks for suggestion.

I've got no hassle with this video download program:
http://www.save2pc.com/update/save2pc_ult.cab
It's easy to use, no extra software requirements like .NET or JAVA sh1t

Speaking of jDownloader and youtube, can anyone please help me? I have been using it to bulk download from youtube but when inputting the playlist url it gives too many choices for each video and it has been a pain in the neck to individually pick from the linkgrabber the ones that I want. I am looking for the 360p flvs. Now I have been able to narrow the choices by going to jDownloaders settings by the "Plugins & add-ons Host" and unchecking everything by Youtube except for Grab FLV and Grab MP3 but I still am getting 3 or 4 choices of the Flvs i.e. "videoname (240p_H.263-MP3).flv", "videoname (360p_H.264-AAC).flv", "videoname (480p_H.264-AAC).flv".

Now I see that by the User interface settings under the Lingrabber settings I can input a link filter based on regular expressions. I checked out their wiki and followed the link to the Regular Expression Cheat Sheet. However I am struggling to find the expression that I need. I would like to only grab the 360p videos and not the 240p or 480p or HD.

Can anyone please tell me what ruleset to use to exclude any link ending in (or including) "(240p_H.263-MP3).flv" and "(480p_H.264-AAC).flv" I would really appreciate it. Or can someone recommend a different download manager that will let me easily bulk download from youtube in specific resolutions.

Thank you very much.

2 reasons. 1. It will take up too much of my bandwidth. 2. The problem of choosing only one of the youtube streams is still there, you are just suggesting to choose the HD instead of the 360p but jDownloader captures 3 or more links for each video that I have to manually choose only one from. Can anyone please help me learn what expression to use in the linkgrabber settings so that only one link shows up per video?

Thank you.
