I know probably not many people are interested but some sites around are now saying there could be a first-quarter 2010 release for this game

gry-online.pl had some some further details on the game:

Chrome 2 is the continuation of the celebrated Polish, futuristic shooting in 2003. Responsible for the creation of Techland. The action was again set in the distant future, at a time when humanity has colonized many planets, the real power of the world rests in the hands of powerful corporations, and the death must be irreversible.

Clever scientists have developed a device allowing to make a digital copy of the self, and then transfer it to another body. Of course, such a procedure should not be the cheapest and afford it are only the wealthiest. As it turns out, sometimes to the fate of the average person can not smile. That is what happened to our hero, who at the beginning is told that he was murdered. Gets the chance to return to the world of the living, if it agrees to work as a mercenary and a soldier for a mysterious corporation. Has a simple choice: either accept his terms to propose, or be skasowanym the media data and go to oblivion. After the transfer of personal hero has to perform several tasks given to him by the corporation. In the meantime, leading private investigation, wishing to find out who killed him, and what are the real motives of his employers. Quite quickly drawn into a complex interplanetary intrigue, in which wmieszanych is a lot of great organizations. Only depends on it, whose side to tell.

As in the first part of a major asset Chrome 2 are vast spaces, the authors have fulfilled them to the world of the living model for those familiar with MMO games. The gameplay is nonlinear, so the player has greater freedom than in the original. With the possibility of taking over different bodies, Chrome 2 requires a more tactical approach to solving problems. For example, to dispose a giant machine rolling, we enter into the body of an engineer who has mounted dezaktywator force field protecting mecha.

Authors pokusili to introduce the game of powerful mechs, even exceeding the size of those known from the game Shadow of the Colossus. On its way meet more than one such mecha. However, not all have to eliminate. Some prove to be much more useful in combat, when they sit down to the rooster control panel.

In continuation of not missing a well-known from the previous system of implants and implant-raising factors, our body is Stacked with the latest achievements in genetics, cybernetics and bionics (eg egzoszkielety). Available to the player was given hundreds of various types of weapons and a wide range of vehicles, sliders, ships and combat equipment. All this will serve to combat the cunning enemy reacting to our past actions of the game. All these "toys" are also available in multiplayer mode provided for 64 players.

The game is based on the flagship productions or Techland Chrome Engine version 2007. Implemented in the enormous number of features improving the quality and realism of the displayed image such as the depth of field, dynamic shadows, advanced lighting effects, the variable weather conditions and time of day. Emphasis has been placed to simulate the physical phenomena occurring in our world, the authors tried to preserve the natural liquid smoke, fire, electricity, and wind. Also developed a new system responsible for mapping the movements of the body taking into account the skeleton, muscles, facial expressions and even clothes.
