Playstation doom total conversion

Postby jaccoboy » Tue Apr 22, 2008 3:57 pm

Hello.
I have found a total conversion of the popular psx version of doom.

It is designed for use with Zdoom or GZDoom .
You must use a doom ii Iwad to play!

Here are the links:

Playstation Doom TC Beta 1
Code: Select all
http://www.mediafire.com/?gj5ay29yqzn

Playstation Music Pack
Code: Select all
http://www.mediafire.com/?bmbmnvjmzyy

It looks very nice i must say.

It has all maps including exclusives + music and sound effects and colored lightning.

here is zdoom
Code: Select all

Here is gzdoom
Code: Select all

Honestly I didn't like the psx Doom, the colored lighting bothered me for some reason.

No doubt there are, but I was simply stating my opinion, because that's what you do on forums :?

Nice find, thanks!

Talking about console ports of Doom, I must say I prefer Doom 64 over other console versions, it was just great for many reasons (cool textures, pseudo 3D, nice music, scary sound fx, etc.)
You know, it's kinda funny the fact that D64 was totally underrated upon its release and now it is considered a classic :D

BTW, I recommend GZDoom over ZDoom because it offers better gfx.

Cheers.

Yeah, I liked the Doom 64 TC, it was pretty cool. Here it is if you haven't seen it:

Huh, never played it. Does it require a gamepad, or can you use mouse and keyboard?

Nah, you don't need gamepad. All you need is the DOOM2.WAD and your good ol' friends "Keyboard+Mouse" :D
