When it comes to horror- 1st person or 3rd person?

Postby questname » Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:26 am

Here's a random question for everyone, what do you prefer- 1st person or 3rd person perspective on survival horror games, and why?

For me I greatly prefer and enjoy 3rd person, I like being able to see my character while I play. I do get a lil sick if I play 1st person games for too long, which I guess is a valid reason not to like them :P

To me it's irrelevant whether a horror is 1st or 3rd person -- if I play in 1st person, I'm afraid to get hurt myself, if I play in 3rd, I empathize with the character I control, so either way if a horror is good, I'm on the edge.

Sounds good to me. You make a good point too, being able to empathize with the character you control in 3rd person. Anyone else?
