Postby Trey » Tue Jul 03, 2012 1:12 am

Has anyone else experienced IE crashes when the forum page first loads?

Strange thing is, this crash (which happened again today) doesn't create any event log file, it just fails, gives a crash messege, then successful reloads the page.

I use IE (since it's integrated into windows), and Firefox with zero add-ons not even java or flash. Firefox I use for searching and browsing sites that might be dangerous. The vast majority of malware and trojans are picked up from infected flash adds and/or through java. I fix computers for a living, which actually means I spend most of my day removing nasty maleware from customers computers.

EDIT: Oh, and I think it's been fixed. I don't know if IE has updated itself or if it was Avast updating its web-rep app what but today the 'enable/disable add-ons' prompt popped up for the first time in a long while. I check, but it was just the same ones as before, I hit OK and closed it, and it hasn't crashed since. Something's been changed causing the enable/disable prompt to pop-up again.
