Witcher, The: Enhanced Edition / Director's Cut CD Projekt Red / Atari 2008

This version required a $1 million investment and includes a mod editor called D'jinni that allows players to create or modify their own adventures in the world of The Witcher, as well as two completely new adventures created by CD Projekt RED. The first adventure, entitled "The Price of Neutrality," tells the story of Geralt coming back to Kaer Morhen and finding a mysterious camp near the stronghold (3 new quests), while the second one focuses on Geralt's close friend, Dandelion, and his troubles in Vizima City (5 quests). They've managed to cut load times down 80% since the day the original game shipped. Upon community complaints regarding the static nature of characters during conversations, the team went back to the motion capture studio and created 200 brand-new animations for the game. Further enhancements include a new dynamic NPC generation system that randomly generates NPC and monster skin colors and combinations to give the game a bit more variety, ctrl-click auto looting, as well has some changes to the inventory system to make alchemy much less of a pain in the ass. The North American Director's Cut was censored but there's a free uncensored patch available for it. The Platinum Edition contains: The Witcher Game DVD with no DRM (Enhanced Edition, v1.5 patch integrated), Bonus Disc (Soundtrack and "inspired by" album, Map, Artbook, Game Mod "Flash Mod", Bonus music by James Semple, Soundtrack from "Merry Witchmas", Walkthroughs for "Merry Witchmas" and "The Wedding", Bonus avatars), game manual, game guide, 5 additional adventures: Blight of the Bogs, Deceits, Wraiths of Quiet Hamlet, The Wedding, Merry Witchmas.
