Aeropa: Fall of the Covenant (cancelled) Pixeleers A/S 1999

Aeropa: Fall of the Covenant, a full scale multiplayer PC/CDROM game for party-sized adventure storytelling. The idea behind Aeropa: Fall of the Covenant is to recreate the feel of pen-and-paper roleplaying in a multi-player computer game, complete with one of the players acting as a live Game Master. This concept introduces “Human Aided Artificial Intelligence” as the computer takes over the handling of the graphics, the extras, and the rules system, and leaves the Game Master free to tell the story and control the important characters. The Game was set in a fantasy realm called AEROPA based on the experiment how Europe could have looked like in the middle ages had Christianity not gotten a grip of the Roman Empire.
The Danish studio Pixeleers had been working on this game and its custom engine (Z3D) since around 1999, and the game was supposed to released in the fourth quarter of 2001, but it never happened. There's no clue whether the game was even completed.
