Great Giant Sisters, The / Giant Worlds Rainer Sinsch 1998

This is platform game is a remake of The Great Giana Sisters, a 1987 game by Time Warp Productions & Rainbow Art that used very similar graphics to Super Mario Bros and was pulled from sale shortly after release. This remake was done for the Mekka/Symposium '98 release party and it ranked first in the 32k game composition there (games that have a size of 32 kbytes only). It featured: 9 different levels, Adlib music, 2 Enemy Types, No sound effects. It was further enhanced in 1998 in Standard Version 1.31 with: Lots of different levels, C64 Style MOD-music, 6 Enemy Types, Amiga Style soundeffects. An X-Mas'98 Special Edition was also released with: Lots of different levels, Lots of Amiga Style chip-music, 6 Enemy Types, Improved Amiga Style sound effects, Realistic particle driven snow effects, Winter landscape. Version 2.0, Giant Worlds has been developed in 1999/2000 and is available for download in its beta state. It uses graphics based on the Amiga/Atari ST version but redrawn in Hi-Color, and includes an option to play the original music from the Commodore 64 version of Giana Sisters. The levels are completely original, and are set in several differently themed worlds (ice, lava, cavern etc.). Features: DirectX compatible; 32ch CD-quality music; Highcolor gfx (with transparency effects); Hard-Sid hardware support; Lots of levels (far more then in previous versions); Runs in 85fps on P200MMX+; Extensive MMX support; Joystick/Gamepad support.
