Jeopardy! 2nd Edition Artech Digital Entertainment, Ltd. / Hasbro Interactive, Inc. 2000

Based on the television game show, this challenges you to compose over four thousand new answers in the form of questions. The game's three modes include the Normal Game, Solo Game and Tournament of Champions with a "Behind the Scenes" feature thrown in for extra measure. As in the actual game show, the Normal Game involves three human or computer-controlled contestants and two trivia-based rounds plus a Final Jeopardy question. Spanning six distinctive categories, there are 30 clues of varying cash amounts per round. In the Jeopardy! Round, answers range from one to five hundred dollars with harder questions worth the most money; the monetary values are then doubled in the Double Jeopardy! Round. Hidden "Daily Doubles" that allow you to wager as much of your cash winnings as you desire on the current clue are located on the "video wall," a grid of six categories with five questions under each. In order to answer the clues, you must buzz in and type in the correct response within a specified time limit. Answer correctly and you earn that clue's dollar amount - incorrect answers will reduce your accumulated total. Unlike the actual game, you do not have to type the response in the form of a question as the program automatically puts in the appropriate phrasing such as "Who is...?" or "What is...?" After the two initial rounds, the Final Jeopardy! round awaits. Final Jeopardy! features a single answer on which all contestants wager. You cannot wager more money than you have amassed throughout the game. Whoever has the highest cash total at the end of the game wins. The Solo Game is similar to the aforementioned Normal Game with one exception: there are no opponents. Your objective is to earn the highest cash amount possible. Finally, the Tournament of Champions is for those who've won five games or accumulated more than $75,000 and, because these players are among the elite, answers and questions are harder. The "Behind the Scenes" feature offers sample contestant exams, backstage video footage and hidden interviews with host Alex Trebek and the producers of Jeopardy!. This also features adjustable options including buzz-in times, response times, computer AI settings and a toggle between loose or strict spelling accuracy. Career statistics are tracked through the number of games won and lost, total winnings, best/worst category and score, round scores, tournament games won, correct and incorrect answers and the computer player IQ.
