Canabalt Finji, Kittehface Software 2009

This is a daring escape game set in an industrialized city. Players control a man in a suit who is running from an unknown danger. The only form of interaction provided to the player is jumping to cross gaps and break through glass. It is not possible to control the man's speed. He will keep on running faster until he hits a waste bin or robot to slow down. There is also no ending to the game, as the environments are randomly generated for each playing session. The goal is to cross as large a distance as possible before dying. It has been credited with inventing the endless runner subgenre. After being ported to many different platforms in HD versions, a retail 2.0 Steam version was released on April 30/2015 with two-player mode and new challenges. Play any of the 8 new game modes with one or two players, dash across rooftops with four different runners, or just chase that high score in the classic futile race for survival. It has optional 3D graphics from Canabalt HD, gamepad support, all the music (including Mega Ran's lyrical cover!!), achievements, and leaderboards.
