Disney Magic Artist Disney Interactive Studios 1995

This is the first version of the Disney art program for children ages 5 plus and features different Disney characters. Mickey Mouse and his friends appear in an environment where the game's activities allow users to draw, paint and create artwork. It enjoins you to create masterpieces from your imagination. With a plethora of tools included, there are three studio areas including the Magic Artist Desktop, the Gallery and a Lesson Area. The Lesson Area is a step-by-step instructional process on how to draw Disney-based characters. Presented in slideshow fashion, it guides you on creating individual body parts and offers histories behind the featured characters. After viewing the demonstration, you can trace the characters or create one from scratch based on what you've learned. The Magic Artist Desktop features a large group of tools, line options and patterns - here you construct works of art from scratch. Tools include button sizes, freehand, straight and curved lines, paintbrushes, markers, spray-cans, erasers, text, various shape makers and an image spray tool. Paintbrushes include oil, water and finger paints while the marker features regular round tips, flat tips and an elliptical tip. You can also choose from regular spray, splatter and 3D paints. Oops! You've messed up your masterpiece. Not to worry - use one of the hard, soft or squeegee erasers! When the painting calls for text, you have the option of selecting font sizes, types and styles (bold, italics and underline included). The shape maker tools allow you to design perfect circles, squares, triangle or diamond shapes; you can fill these shapes with solid colors or color outlines. If you'd rather use pre-fabricated images instead of creating them, utilize the image spray tool for the insertion of ladybugs and other critters and objects. The Magic Artist Desktop also features customizable stamps, millions of colors and various color and texture fillers. After creating various paintings, utilize the Gallery option to present your work; nine images can be stored in a sketchbook. Pictures can be arranged in any way you desire - tilt, rotate or line them up.
