The oceans represent two thirds of the surface of our planet. The aquatic environment seems difficult to understand and holds many secrets. Man has succeeded in unraveling some of these secrets with the means at his disposal. This CD-Rom aims to share these discoveries with you. Produced under the direction of Professor Dominique DOUMENC of the National Museum of Natural History and Professor Pierre LASSERRE of Unesco and in partnership with Ifremer, CNES and Océanopolis, this presents biodiversity in an original and comprehensive way Marine. The CD-Rom Reference: A true encyclopedia of the sea which presents all the marine life (fauna and flora) current and past. The discovery of the marine environment is carried out by different means: scuba diving, submarine, on foot or by boat on the coast. The oceanoscope is your starting point for discovering the oceans. From there you have access to different themes. Towards the past: relive thanks to the Chranoscaphe, the evolution and history of the oceans. Out to sea: board an oceanographic vessel and learn about life on the high seas, the continental shelf and the poles. Towards the depths: a dive into the abyss that will introduce you to the underwater fauna. Towards the coast: set off on foot or on a boat to explore the coast, beaches, rocky and sandy coasts. The Junior CD-Rom: Its purpose is to introduce the world of the oceans. This discovery is made through interactive comics and original and educational games. Interactive comics: Dan and Léa take your children on an amazing journey into the world of the oceans. Educational games: original games allow children to test the knowledge acquired. These games were developed with the help of educators from the National Museum of Natural History.
