Yoco et la Course au Trésor [Fr] Mandarine Interactive 2001

The second advertising game licensed to Yoco, the French subsidiary of Nestle, which made yoghurts and other dairy products. We have to again play the role of the "mascot" of the first named company - the boy of the same name with standing erect red hair, who, together with his friends (as in the first game, a boy and a girl - but outwardly already completely different) goes to New York, where discovers a treasure map. The famous thief Bob Carcass, who recently escaped from prison, learns about this, and after that begins to pursue the heroes in order to be the first to take possession of the jewels. To start the game, you must enter your name and click on the "Ok" icon next to it. Unlike the first part, which was a simplified quest with arcade mini-games, this thing, despite the very similar visual style and interface, belongs to a completely different direction: in fact, we have an interactive encyclopedia of nature and the indigenous population of various regions of North America, realized in the form of a conditional "interactive" cartoon. Its passage - which again contrasts with its predecessor - will not be completely free: the starting location is the largest city in the United States, from where, having taken possession of the map, we can already randomly go to three regions: the Grand Canyon, Alaska and Central America (although the latter is located the named point for some reason on the territory of Colombia ...). Access to the last "level", the same treasure island. Mini-games, fortunately, are still provided, both arcade and logic ones. As in the first part, to access the menu, you need to click on the portrait of Yoko that is constantly displayed at the bottom of the screen, which leads to the appearance of a line with a row of icons to the right of it. To go (or rather, "return" if necessary) to the "main action" you need to refer to the icon in the form of a map; pressing the chess knight launches a separate mode with those very small entertainments, each of which will be encountered during the direct passage; which is nice, this time they are presented here in full force, that is, you can get acquainted with each of them in isolation from the "main" mode. In order to go back to the "plot", you can use the same menu, using the map.
