Ajedrez Y Leyendas: El Desafio de Eglerion [Sp] Esteban Jaureguizar, Batovi, Escuela Uruguaya de Ajedrez 2011

In 2011, at the initiative of Esteban Jaureguizar from the Uruguayan Chess School (today coordinator of Educational Chess of the Uruguayan Chess Federation), and Fernando Sansberro from the company Batovi Games, the game Ajedrez Y Leyendas (LegendaryChess) was created for the CEIBAL PLAN. An investment effort was made and an improved and enhanced version was made for Windows in Spanish that was never marketed, as it has some small errors in some screens. This does not prevent chess teachers and school teachers in Uruguay from using it in their classrooms with the children. It is the fantastic story of a witch king who conquers the land of Eglerion. You have to reconquer castle after castle with chess-related skills. One by one, the movements of the pieces are taught with different types of pre-chess games. Each Kingdom that is released is made with a final battle where superpowers can be purchased. Children are slowly being led from a fantasy game to chess as we play it. Om Apr/2020, the game was made freeware.
