This is an educational computer game for ages 9 and up. It is the sequel to the original Crosscountry Canada and its enhanced version Crosscountry Canada: Platinum. Players drive an 18-wheel truck picking up commodities and delivering them to their destination. Along their route, players learn geography skills, map reading, making decisions, estimations, problem solving, and directions targeted for grades 4 to 9. The game provides descriptions and photos from each of the 50 commodities. All actions are performed with a click of the mouse. As the player travels through 79 cities across Canada, on-screen maps are provided from the laptop to plan their route as selected from the compass, and popular cities, landmarks and places are recorded during the player’s travels. |
