Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series Bandai Namco Entertainment 2022

This is a set that includes revamped versions of two classic platform games from Bandai Namco Entertainment. The collection includes Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (originally released in 1997 for the first PlayStation) and 2001's Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, developed for the PlayStation 2. The remasters do not change the storylines of the originals. Both games from the set allow you to play as a human-shaped animal named Klonoa, traveling through lands built from human dreams. In the first part, our hero becomes a witness of a plane crash, which crashes on a nearby mountain. Together with his friend, a ghost named Huepow, he goes to investigate the crash site. During this expedition, he discovers the evil spirit Ghadius' plan to find a magic necklace and turn the land of dreams into a world of nightmares. In Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, on the other hand, the hero's task is to stop a pirate named Leorina, who wants to gain power equal to that of the gods and take over the dreamland. We get classic 2.5D platform games, which means that the locations are made in full 3D, but the gameplay takes place in two dimensions. We explore vast maps, avoid traps, collect items and fight enemies by jumping on their heads. At the end of each level a powerful boss awaits us. Unusual element of both games is exploration. Klonoa can not only jump, but also hover in the air for a while. He can also catch enemies using a magic ring, which allows him to inflate them with air like balloons. In this form, they can be used as trampolines to increase the height of his jumps. It is also possible to throw enemies both at objects located on the same plane as the hero, as well as at elements in the background, which is used to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. You can play solo or in cooperative mode for two people. It offers numerous graphical improvements compared to the original. The graphics have been thoroughly refreshed, offering higher resolution and more details and effects. It is worth mentioning that the included version of Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is based on the remake released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii console, and not on the original from 1997.
