Dune's "History" music album mainly featured 14 audio tracks,
composed and produced by Dune, a techno German band. As an additional bonus however,
an exclusive Dune Game
was created using Macromedia Director & QuickTime VR. This game was included on a
special track, making the 'History' album a CD EXTRA release, made playable on both
Windows and Macintosh platforms. It's a point&click adventure game, set in an Egyptian
pyramid. You are a pilot, flying over the desert when a thunderstorm surprises you
and lightning strikes your plane. The plane crashes, but you manage to survive, only
to be confronted with a pyramidic tomb rising up from under the sand. Curious as
you are, you decide to enter the tomb, but the entry slams shut upon entrance: you're
on your own from here. Your main objective is to free a Pharaoh Princess from her
grave and in order to do so, you need to acquire 4 Holy Scarabs which are hidden in
the pyramid's labyrinth, protected by various deadly traps (which will make you
restart the game) and intruiging puzzles (offering a scarab on completion). Can you
make it out? |
