Stripe Out Playerthree, AMP / XL Recordings 2002

This is a Breakout clone released as a promo for the music group White Stripes' single 'Fell in Love With a Girl'. It's a classic retro game to tie in with the Lego-based video. A downloadable 'standalone' version of the game was released first, followed up with a Shockwave version to be played online from various web sites including NME, MTV, Channel4 and whitestripes.com. Each partner had its own 'branded' version of the game and unique high score chart, where players competed to win a chance to meet Meg and Jack. To play, simply double-click the 'WhiteStripes' icon in this folder. The task? Knock out as many bricks as possible. Use your bat to keep the ball in play. If you are using the mouse to control the bat's movement, use the left mouse button to set the ball in play. If you are using the cursor keys to control the bat, pressing the space bar has the same effect. Only the red and white bricks can be removed. Stuck in a loop? 't' -> tilt the table (don't overdo it!) or 'x' -> kill the ball in play.
