Motonari Mouri: Syakusoku no Mitsuya [J] Koei 1997

This is a simulation RPG and third work in the "Eiketsuden series". It was released to coincide with the NHK taiga drama "Motonari Mori'' that was being broadcast at the time, and depicts the development of the Mori family, the feudal lords of the Sengoku period, who ruled the Chugoku region, with some fiction included. In this work, there is basically one battle per episode, and the system is such that the chapter progresses by winning. In "Oda Nobunaga Den'', which was also released later in the "Eiketsuden series'', a scenario branch is sometimes prepared even if you lose due to game balance, but in this game there is no scenario branch, and if you lose then the game is over. The feature of this work is that you can take a walk around the castle town before the battle, and the story unfolds based on the conversations you have there. You can also stock up on weapons at markets and workshops, level up your military commanders at the training range, and gather information at bars. There's a total of 200 characters including Motonari and his wife and children, as well as Ouchi, Amago, and Oda. Battle scenes feature 32 unique types of troops. Battle content includes castle attacks, naval battles, pursuit battles, and withdrawal battles. Find a wide variety of materials and create items such as weapons, armor, medicine, etc.
