This poker game was made with Visual Basic published as shareware on Compuserve. Some challenges in programming: detecting screen resolution and resizing every thing in code appropriately; fitting it all on a 1.44 MB diskette; reducing memory usage by using integer constants given the VB runtime’s interpretive design; dealing with the Windows GDI API; fitting ~1,000 voice responses into the application; creating a compiled Windows Help file. | ||
