Count Schreckenstein, as owner of the castle, assumes the thief among the pupils and issues them an ultimatum. The continuance of the school in the castle is at risk now. Quickly, the newbie Stephan is suspected by the other students and redlined. Only his room-mate Ottokar supports him with his search for the true culprit.
