Fans of frantic vertical scrolling shoot'em-ups have to check out this very commendable entry in the genre created by a Japanese developer. The player will drive a futuristic fighter aircraft into intense space war. With fast paced shooting action, it's ready to test your reflexes in a series of cinematic levels where the hand-eye coordination will be crucial to survive. The difficulty is quite challenging but not impossible to be completed. Like Zakichi's previous works, it offers a clever of mix semi polygonal graphics with top down view of the old classic shooting. It features 2 difficulty settings with 5 levels. As free PC games go, it demands a high level of reflexes from the player, offering a difficult challenge and a perfect one for those aiming for the higher scores. The mechanics are familiar and sound, with a small press of the fire button unleashing the normal laser, while a longer press activates a devastating attack, something that will come in handy for the larger bosses. There's also a special attack to clean the screen of enemies. Although visuals are far from remarkable they are very pleasing to look at – and battle in – and there's a nice sense of diversity in the environments and enemies. |
