The player takes control of Chubsy Malone, a small-time crook who wants to become the greatest gangster of America. And how does he achieve this? With respect! Respect can be gained with different actions: by buying better suits, intimidating the right persons and forming a gang. But the most important part of progressing in the game is by solving the missions Malone gets by reading the newspapers. These missions consists of typical gangster actions, e.g. robbing a bank or intimidating the inhabitants of a building and gaining control over it. The game is played in a 3rd person perspective and all gang members can be controlled directly (one at a time). The game starts in Elmer City and progresses over multiple American cities until Malone reaches Las Vegas. Malone can walk freely within the cities and collect weapons and ammo which are lying on the streets. The only people he meets are gangsters which want to kill him and people he can recruit. |
