This is a space-shooter inspired by Asteroids Deluxe, but with lots of powerups (and “power-downs”) bouncing around the playfield. Do you risk getting an instantly appearing saucer or more asteroids in the hope of getting a more powerful weapon? Inspired by Asteroids, this game adds lots of different things to spice things up a bit. Lots of new weapons – spread fire, rockets, cluster bombs, etc, several different shields, but also a new type of ship... and several not-so-nice powerups that will add stuff like more asteroids or instantly appearing saucers. This high-paced blaster will give you sweat on your brow as you decide if you really want to powerup or not. It plays like Asteroids – shoot the rocks, the saucers and the motherships. You can pick up powerups that will affect your shield, firepower, speed or enemies. When you pick up a powerup it will respawn a few seconds later – but the effect of the powerups will also only last a few seconds, so you constantly have to run the risk of improving your firepower, replenish your shield or run the risk of more enemies appearing. |
