Nameless, The Trevor Storey & Ovine by Design 2007

A great jetpack exploration/platformer in a huge labyrinth. Unofficially it's a fan-made sequel to Exile, a 1988 C64/Amiga/Atari ST game by Superior Software. Game puts you in spacesuit of captain John Havoc, "interstellar equivalent of Santa Claus" as he calls himself, provider of goods for Martian human colonies and mines. On his last trip before the well-deserved holidays he finds out that the base is abandoned and planet's surface, once flourishing, is lifeless. There's also high radiation level outside. Without hesitation...you know what the captain does. Nameless is an action/exploration game; in other words it puts as much emphasis on killing and avoiding obstacles as on gathering clues and unraveling the plot. With most of the crew being disappeared your only source of info are consoles scattered around the base (you manage to rescue some of people, but they are mysteriously dumb). At your disposal you have jetpack, blaster, grenades, tractor beam (very useful for holding heavier objects) and 5 teleport spots which you can place anywhere you want and return to them if needed. Base is divided into several areas named with letters and they require different access cards to enter them. An adventure on a Martian mining base. Armed with a upgradable gun, grenades and a jetpack you have to rescue your buddies and so much more in order to make the base inhabitable. It's a very large platformer whereby you have to look for keycards, talk to computers, collect crystals, weapon upgrades, grenades, etc..etc.. You also can move objects to free a way or to block door switches. You even can place some teleports so you easier can travel through the maze of labs and mine galleries. And of course there are enemies and other dangerous stuff (as meteors, radiation etc). Great sound effects and alien voices as well. The save function works great, you have unlimited lives (every time you die you go back to your space shuttle) so there is nothing disturbing. If you like exploration games, this game is a must.
