This is a 2D space shooter made with Blitz Basic. The player controls a space ship at the bottom of the screen using the mouse, steering it left or right and using a mouse click to shoot. A joypad is also supported. The goal is to shoot down the aliens that appear at the top from the or the right. Bullets and projectiles need to be avoided or destroyed. Meanwhile Euro points, ten different weapon power-ups and the letters that spell out E-X-T-R-A for an additional life can be collected. With every new level the currency can be invested in better weapons or an improved ship. The game can be played with one or two players. It was released as shareware with a commercial version available through a download for € 10 or as a mail order CD-ROM for € 15. Registering the game adds 100 additional levels to the 200, a cheat option and free future updates. |
