Super Transball 2 Santiago Ontañón / Brain Games 2002

This is a side scrolling arcade game. It is the sequel of the games Transball and Transball 2, all of them based in the 'Thrust' type of games. The player controls a ship, dispatched to retrieve the stolen "Spheres" that provide all energy for the future humanity. On each level, the player must reach the sphere, pick it up with an attractor beam and carry it out of the level. The player's ship is subject to gravity and must be controlled by carefully firing off its thrusters to regulate the speed. The ship can be rotated freely to control the direction of thrust. Bumping into an obstacle destroys the ship and forces a restart of the level. Furthermore, the attractor beam only has a limited range and once the player has picked up the sphere, he must fly slowly enough to avoid leaving the sphere behind. Additionally the ship has a limited amount of fuel and once it runs out, the thrusters no longer work. Later levels have additional obstacles, such as laser beams or cannons, however the player has onboard weapons (consuming fuel as ammo) to dispose of some threats. Three ships are available to choose from, with different speed and weapon power (the fastest ship is also equipped with secondary thrusters on its front.) All playthroughs are recorded, and can be played back at any time.
