War at Home [Pe] DAF Multimedia 2001

Iran's first movie game is an FMV shooter set in the Iran-Iraq War. In September 1980, Iraq, using the military support of its Western allies at that time, launched an invasion of Iran to destroy all the achievements of the Islamic Revolution of 1979. The conflict subsequently caused very large military and civilian casualties for both warring parties. The people of Iran managed to survive, repelling the attack. Against the background of a static frame, Iraqi soldiers appear in a continuous stream from various openings, windows and shelters, quite unexpectedly, to “shoot like that” at you. If you manage to point the sight cursor at the enemy (preferably at the head) and press the corresponding “shot” mouse button before the enemy fires his first shot, then it will be considered that you have destroyed him. After this, a spectacular shot of his death will be shown at close range in a typically “cinema-like” manner. But if you hesitate for a couple of tenths of a second, then your death in battle will be shown even more beautifully, tragically and pathetically. Then the scene with the last enemy, who, in fact, “killed” your protagonist, will repeat again. The sight is always positioned in the center of the screen with the appearance of any enemy - you need to have time to quickly move the cursor, so it’s impossible to accurately “mark” in advance where the head of the same enemy will reappear. Scene replays are implemented only for the “Easy” difficulty mode, and in the “Hard” mode, if your hero dies, the game ends. The game can be completed in an hour and screen resolution is 640x480.
