Just An Other Space Shooter Suomipelit / Fingersoft 2002

You mainly fight against asteroids and other junk, enhanced by interesting, minimal 3D graphics. Features: 2-player mode; Upgradable weapons and ship; Totally 10 different enemies. You control a space fighter that mistakenly looks like an X-Wing, whose laser cannons are supposed to shoot everything that comes in sight into a steaming pile of space dust. The game area of JAOSS is a strip of space that rolls forward gracefully, where the space fighter can be moved by invisible fences in a limited area. As an arsenal, the ship has two highly efficient energy cannons. The first one fires more frequently, but doesn't deal the same amount of damage to incoming space junk as the fighter's second, more powerful weapon. It also has its weak point, poor rate of fire. Don't worry, these weapons can barely scratch the surface of a big space battle, but problems and hasty dodges follow when tougher opponents come into play. Our X-Wing replica will bump into various structures along its way, probably space stations and later alien ships equipped with shields. Alien ships are problematic in the sense that they curve along the playing area unlike asteroids and space stations. However, the beauty of JAOSS lies in the fact that the point account accumulated by defeating opponents always opens an update menu at regular intervals, from which you can choose one update for your ship at a time. Among other things, improving the firing frequency and power of both weapons is immensely beneficial, but it is not recommended to go crazy with size, because as the ship's destructive power increases, the energy production must also be of a sufficiently efficient class. The regeneration of the fighter's shields is also useful, because colliding with enemies damages the ship a lot. Sometimes even one crash with a stranger is enough to send the best player out for coffee. The platform should be updated regularly, but of course it's worth trying to specialize in different updates, because one game of JAOSS takes roughly ten minutes, at least for the reviewer. There is a top ten score list, where you can of course get practically any number you want. Simultaneous single player has been grafted into this action pack. Playing together is no different from playing alone, but the fact that the players' ships have common life points and energy production makes it more interesting. In addition, upgrades to ships are made by joint decision.
